Rick ‘good-hair’ Perry – “Quote of the Day”

Via: Think Progress

At Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, Perry told the crowd, “Those who are going to be over 21 on November 12th, I ask for your support” — eliciting a few chuckles from the crowd.

Note 1:  The Twenty-sixth Amendment (Amendment XXVI) to the United States Constitution limited the minimum voting age to no more than 18. It was adopted in response to student activism against the Vietnam War and to partially overrule the Supreme Court’s decision in Oregon v. Mitchell.

It was adopted on July 1, 1971. (Rick Perry turned twenty-one on March 4, 1971)

Note 2: “I like to think of him as George W. Bush without all the encumbering intellect.” – James Howard Kunsler
