A Republican who hopes to become the top education official in South Carolina says that children should be taught a form of creationism in school.
, one of eight Republican candidates for superintendent of education, said Tuesday in a GOP primary debate that she opposed the Next Generation Science Standards and believed that intelligent design should be taught alongside the theory of evolution.
“In regard to the evolution issue, I have to say that that is one of the problems with our education system today, and it is one of the problems that has been brought to light through the problems with the Common Core standards,” she remarked. “Children are not receiving an objective education.”
“There is plenty of science and research behind the theory of intelligent design, and yet it is not allowed in the classroom,” Few added. “There is no reason why the scientific theory of intelligent design should not be taught in the classroom alongside the theory of evolution, and that way children would receive an objective education and they could also — for Christian children — could point to their God though the theory of intelligent design. Children need to have an objective education.”

President Obama raised eyebrows with his West Point commencement address Wednesday by offering a defense of his controversial foreign-policy doctrine of not invading countries for no reason.
Conservative critics were taken aback by Obama’s speech, which was riddled with incendiary remarks about only using military force for a clearly identified and rational purpose.
Obama did not shy away from employing polarizing rhetoric, often using words such as “RESPONSIBLE” and “SENSIBLE” to underscore his message.
Harland Dorrinson, a fellow at the conservative think tank the Center for Global Intervention, said that he was “stunned” to see Obama “defend his failure to engage the United States in impulsive and random military adventures.”
“History tells us that the best way to earn respect around the world is by using your military in a totally unpredictable and reckless manner,” he said. “Today, President Obama showed once again that he doesn’t get it.”
Thank You Mr. President, for ‘getting it’.
My Gawd, they are a STUPID bunch of crazies!

Wind energy reduced power sector emissions by more than 5 percent last year, saving the same amount of CO2 as taking 20 million cars off the road, according to a new report.
The report, published by the American Wind Energy Association, found that wind energy production in 2013 resulted in carbon emissions reductions of 126.8 million tons. Some states achieved larger reductions than the national average, with 11 states reducing carbon emissions by 10 percent compared to 2011 levels through wind energy. Texas — a state which broke its record for highest wind generation ever in March — had the highest volume of carbon reductions, followed by Illinois, California, and Colorado.

2nd Amendment: As ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, then-Secretary of State.
“well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
Congressman Blake Farenthold (R- Texas via every fast food restaurant in the state) told veterans about to lose their disability checks due to the
government shutdown, that they would have to make sacrifices.
Because goodness knows that former soldiers receiving disability haven’t already made extreme sacrifices. For this country. To keep it free.
Let us quote the Congressman since this statement cannot be paraphrased
“I feel like my mandate when I was elected was to go reduce the size of government, lower taxes, and increase freedom, and freedom isn’t free, and sometimes you have to make a small sacrifice to move forward with what you’re after,” Farenthold said.
Farenthold, who appears to have not sacrificed anything ever- except the risk of diabetes and heart disease- has been serving in the Congress for all of two years. And yet feels quite comfortable in stopping major parts of the federal government from functioning.
In fact, the corpulent Congressman from Corpus Christi is quite comfortable speaking on behalf of all the American citizens not just the ones in his gerrymandered sinkhole of a district.
He told a reporter that folks are upset about NSA spying and of course, Benghazi, not inre a bunch of newbie elected officials taking the country hostage for 13 days.
Everyone read this and remember. Showboats like Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz were confronted by veterans last Sunday. The former military folks, who came to D.C. to protest memorials being closed, told the Tea Party people they were in fact to blame, saying, “The Republicans closed the government. The Republicans closed the government. You’re an idiot.”
Rep. Farenthold with a staffer on a recent ‘fact finding tour’; and yes, they were ‘finding facts’ at a brothel.
