45% more, WOW!
I can’t help but wonder if someday, if there will be a migration, a mass migration, of people from the $7.25 ‘minimal wage’ to the ‘livable wage’ states.
Gawd only knows, I would look for a better opportunity!

s 95th district state House seat, is a felon, who has served time in two states. According to mlive.com, Haskins’ crimes include things such as breaking and entering, trespassing, and destruction of property.
But, by Haskins’ own admission, his criminal past, which includes prison time in North Carolina and Michigan, is related to something known as “CRANKING.”
Those familiar with slang terms for drugs may know “crank” as a street name for methamphetamine. But Haskins’ criminal convictions have nothing to do with drugs.
CRANKING is, according to Haskins, a sexual fetish. Haskins has been arrested on several occasions for breaking into vehicles, removing the spark plug wires, and masturbating while CRANKING the engine.
He says he learned of the practice online.
Q: Can’t he get wife, or boyfriend, to make ‘CRANKING’ sounds?
Possibly, VROOM! VROOM!

A magazine editor in Oklahoma was putting together candidate information for a feature when a friend alerted him to online comments posted last year by a candidate for state representative.
“This guy posted on Facebook that homosexuals should be stoned to death,” said Rob Morris, who published the Moore Monthly and MooreDaily.com. “My first response was, ‘You’re nuts, nobody would be stupid enough to do that.’”
But Scott Esk, a Tea Party Republican and John Birch Society member, did exactly that – repeatedly.
The GOP candidate responded to a post on Pope Francis saying “who am I to judge?” on homosexuality by posting numerous Old Testament quotations prescribing capital punishment for LGBT people.
Another commenter asked, “So just to be clear, you think we should execute homosexuals (presumably by stoning)?”
“I think we would be totally in the right to do it,” Esk said. “That goes against some parts of libertarianism, I realize, and I’m largely libertarian, but ignoring as a nation things that are worthy of death is very remiss.”
It’s pretty pathetic this is ALL they have.
VOTE BLUE in 2014 and 2016!
The Koch’sucking brothers’, are the founders of the Teabagger Party, and are the primary campaign funders of the GOP.
Think for a minute how devasting it would be for the elderly if they abolish Medicare, and for the poor people if they abolish Medicaid.
The ONLY way to prevent this is to Vote BLUE in 2014!

The FACT is the GOP doesn’t want to improve and reform Social Security and Medicare, they want to ELIMINATE them!

Congressman Vance McAllister issued a statement Monday afternoon “asking for forgiveness” after The Ouachita Citizen first reported McAllister was captured in a video recording passionately kissing and embracing a member of his congressional staff.
“There’s no doubt I’ve fallen short and I’m asking for forgiveness,” McAllister said in a statement. “I’m asking for forgiveness from God, my wife, my kids, my staff, and my constituents who elected me to serve. Trust is something I know has to be earned whether your a husband, a father, or a congressman. I promise to do everything I can to earn back the trust of everyone I’ve disappointed.”
Fifth District Congressman Vance McAllister, who campaigned for office last fall as a DEVOUT CHRISTIAN and DEVOTED HUSBAND and FATHER, was caught in video surveillance two days before Christmas passionately embracing and kissing one of his congressional aides.
The woman who McAllister, 40, was caught kissing for almost half a minute (HALF a MINUTE!) is Melissa Anne Hixon Peacock, 33, of 400 Zachary Way, Sterlington. She is McAllister’s district scheduler.
McAllister did not respond to calls to comment. His chief of staff, Adam Terry, said he would respond by noon Monday. The Ouachita Citizen did not receive a statement from McAllister or Terry.
Peacock was contacted by The Ouachita Citizen as well. She did not answer her cell phone.
Peacock donated $5,200 to McAllister’s congressional campaign last fall, according to the Federal Election Commission. According to the FEC, Peacock listed her employment at the time of the donation as a self-employed cosmetologist (comotologist – yeah right!)
She joined McAllister’s congressional staff after he took office in November. Photographs posted to Facebook show Peacock was involved in a number of McAllister’s campaign events during last fall’s congressional race.
Peacock’s husband, Heath Peacock, 34, also donated $5,200 to McAllister’s congressional campaign last fall, according to the FEC. At the time of his donation to McAllister’s campaign, Heath Peacock listed his employment as an inspector for Wilcrest Field Services, according to the FEC. According to his Linkedin page, Peacock now works offshore as an assistant chief inspector for Wood Group Mustang.
The only question I have is: can Louisiana pass the South Carolina in the ‘GOP sleeze race’?
