And my favorite:

1

Starbucks – Chiang Mai, Thailand, Taepae Gate

It’s not ONLY because I live in Chiang Mai; but right behind Starbucks is Gecko Books, my favorite used book store.

Mark Twain

‘After keeping us waiting for a century, Mark Twain Reveals it All’

I just readthat this year Mark Twain’s (real name: Samuel Langhorne Clemens) autobiography will be published. To remind you, the great American writer left instructions not to publish his autobiography until 100 years after his death, which is ectually NOW! I can not wait to read this book.

~

– “Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.”

– “Loyalty to country ALWAYS. Loyalty to government, when it deserves it.”

– “If we were supposed to talk more than listen we would have been given two mouths and one ear.”

– “Classic’ – a book which people praise and don’t read.”

– “God created war so that Americans would learn geography.”

– “I did not attend his funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it.”

– “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme.”

– “There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy, and a tragedy.”

– “My books are water; those of the great geniuses are wine.(Fortunately) Everybody drinks water.”

– “Often it seems a pity that Noah and his party did not miss the boat.”

– “The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself”

The Lisa Simpson Book Club

The Lisa Simpson Book Club is tracking down every instance of Lisa reading in the Simpsons and making a record of what books she’s read.
