Vandals target University of Florida biology professors’ vehicles

Via: The Independent Florida Alligator

Letters, nails and vehicular sabotage haven’t kept two UF biology professors from expressing their belief in evolution.

In a string of events occurring over the past four months, the professors’ cars, which were parked in the Bartram-Carr Hall parking lot, were vandalized.

First, religious letters were left on the cars, and then pro-evolution bumper stickers and Darwin-fish emblems were scraped and torn from the vehicles. Most recently, nails were put into the tires.

One of the victims, Brian McNab, said he noticed a problem with his white Volkswagen when air continued to come out of the tires even after he had re-inflated them.

McNab took the car in for an inspection, and two two-inch nails were found and determined as the cause of the flat tires.

“I can’t prove who did it and I don’t want to jump to any conclusions,” McNab said. “But I think it’s obvious that it’s someone who has a strong opposition to evolution.”

(1 of 2) Pat Roberson warns God will destroy America over same sex marriage

Via: RawReplay

Television evangelist Pat Robertson responded to New York’s decision to legalize same sex marriage by warning Monday that the result would be America’s destruction.

“I think we need to remember the term sodomy came from a town known as Sodom and Sodom was destroyed by God Almighty and the thing that they practiced was homosexual activity and even they tried to rape angels who came down there, so that’s the kind of people they were,” Robertson said. God “sent an angel down there and He said to Lot and his family, ‘get out now because I’m gonna destroy this whole area.’”

“We’re heading that way as a nation. In history there’s never been a civilization ever in history that has embraced homosexuality and turned away from traditional fidelity, traditional marriage, traditional child-rearing, and has survived. There isn’t one single civilization that has survived that openly embraced homosexuality. So you say, ‘what’s going to happen to America?” Well if history is any guide, the same thing’s going to happen to us,’” he predicted.

Robertson also admitted that Jesus “didn’t say anything about the homosexuality.”

Petraeus, Sedwill condemn Quran burning

KABUL, Afghanistan – Standing outside of the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters building in Kabul, Afghanistan, April 3, U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus, commander, ISAF/U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, and British Ambassador Mark Sedwill, NATO senior civilian representative, strongly condemned the actions of Pastor Wayne Sapp on March 20.

“We condemn the action of the individual in the United States who burned a copy of the holy Quran. That action was HATEFUL, it was INTOLERANT, and it was EXTREMELY DISREPECTUL,” said Petraeus.

And NOW, the EVIL BASTARD, ‘Terry Jones, the radical pastor who oversaw the burning of a Koran in his Florida church last month after a mock court hearing, may put the Islamic prophet Mohammed on trial in his next ‘day of judgement’, he told The Sunday Telegraph.

It is definitely a consideration to stage a trial on the life of Mohammed in the future,” he said in interview on Saturday.’
