John ‘Old Man Yells at Cloud’ McCain (R-AZ) – ‘GOP Moron of the Day’

“But to be honest with you, Neil, it goes back to there’s a lot of ill will towards Senator Hagel because when he was a Republican, he attacked President Bush mercilessly and say he was the worst President since Herbert Hoover and said the surge was the worst blunder since the Vietnam War, which was nonsense. He was anti-his own party and people — people don’t forget that. You can disagree but if you’re disagreeable (Hey Old Man, that’s one of the reasons Obama kicked you ass in ’08!), then people don’t forget that.”

John McCain

personal thoughts:

1. There is NO question, George W. Bush WAS the worse President since Hoover.

2. It’s NOT NONSENSE that the War in Iraq is the worse blunder since the War in Vietnam.

3. McCain is, and has been for a very long time, a crazy old man (see photo).

Two for the price of one, “Quotes of the Day”

“Reagan wouldn’t identify with this party.

There’s a streak of intolerance in the Republican Party today that scares people. Intolerance is a very dangerous thing in a society because it always leads to a tragic ending.

Ronald Reagan was never driven by ideology. He was a conservative but he was a practical conservative. He wanted limited government but he used government and he used it many times.

And he would work with the other party. …”

‘the heretic’ – Former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE)

personal thought:

Three very conservative former senators (Hagel, Hatch, and Lugar) are basically saying the same thing; the party has swung too far to the right, and will have difficulty winning future national elections (see photo).

Q: However, will the three leave the party?

A: Oh, hell no!

And it’s not just Reagan who would have trouble in the today’s ‘teabagger GOP’; but so would Lincoln, Eienhower, Goldwater, and Nixon (price contols, founded EPA and OSHA. implemented the first affirmative action program and supported the ERA).
