Christie Shockingly Vindicated – By his OWN investigation!
A law firm hired by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Thursday that the governor was not involved in a plot to create gridlock near a major bridge as part of a political retribution scheme.
The taxpayer-funded report released by former federal prosecutor Randy Mastro relies on interviews with Christie and other officials in his administration and 250,000 documents, many of them emails and text messages.
“We found that Gov. Christie had no knowledge beforehand of this George Washington Bridge realignment idea”, Mastro said at a news conference. (yeah, right!)

Christie’s Waterloo
Via: NY Daily News
In the best possible light, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie built a top staff of lying thugs who threatened lives and safety to serve his political ends. If not, Christie is a lying thug himself.
Emails and text messages among his close aides made public Wednesday documented that in September they gleefully engineered George Washington Bridge lane closures to punish the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee for failing to endorse their boss’ reelection.
Local officials say the gridlock they caused delayed ambulances in responding to four calls, including one involving an unconscious 91-year-old woman who later died.
Christie’s presidential ambitions are all but kaput, as he will be lambasted and lampooned as a man of low character and horrible judgment — again viewing him in the most favorable way.

Chris Chrstie (R-NJ) – ‘GOP Moron of the Day’

There are two things New Jersey governor Chris Christie loves more than anything, stuffing his face (SEE PHOTO) and yelling at teachers who are just trying to do their job. On Saturday he chose the latter, freaking out on a teacher who asked him a simple question during a Rutgers football game.
New Jersey public school teacher, Melissa Tomlinson, approached Christie and his wife and asked “Why do you portray New Jersey Public Schools as ‘failure factories?’”
Chris Christie, not one to shy away from a fight with an innocent school teacher, shouted: “You People! Just Do Your Job.”

personal thought:
‘YOU PEOPLE!’ will no doubt help him win the nomination; but the geneal election, NO WAY!

Mitt Romney: Hurricane Sandy ‘Didn’t Come At The Right Time’
Via: Huffington Post
Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Hurricane Sandy — a major storm that pummeled the East Coast in October 2012, just before Election Day — “didn’t come at the right time.”
“I can tell you the hurricane didn’t come at the right time,” Romney told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto on Friday.
Sandy caused 159 deaths and between $50 and $100 billion in damage.
After the storm hit, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) and President Barack Obama formed an infamous bipartisan bond, with the two working on recovery efforts and touring the storm’s wreckage together in the days just before the election.

‘It’s Global Warming, Stupid’ – and yes, ‘Stupid’ means the GOP!
Via: Bloomberg Businessweek
Yes, yes, it’s unsophisticated to blame any given storm on climate change. Men and women in white lab coats tell us—and they’re right—that many factors contribute to each severe weather episode. Climate deniers exploit scientific complexity to avoid any discussion at all.
Clarity, however, is not beyond reach. Hurricane Sandy demands it: At least 40 U.S. deaths. Economic losses expected to climb as high as $50 billion. Eight million homes without power. Hundreds of thousands of people evacuated. More than 15,000 flights grounded. Factories, stores, and hospitals shut. Lower Manhattan dark, silent, and underwater.
. . .
An unscientific survey of the social networking literature on Sandy reveals an illuminating tweet (you read that correctly) from Jonathan Foley, director of the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota. On Oct. 29, Foley thumbed thusly: “Would this kind of storm happen without climate change? Yes. Fueled by many factors. Is storm stronger because of climate change? Yes.” Eric Pooley, senior vice president of the Environmental Defense Fund (and former deputy editor of Bloomberg Businessweek), offers a baseball analogy: “We can’t say that steroids caused any one home run by Barry Bonds, but steroids sure helped him hit more and hit them farther. Now we have weather on steroids.” (And it’s only going to get worse, MUCH WORSE!)

Obama: “The main message I wanted to send is the entire country has been watching what’s been happening. Everybody knows how hard Jersey’s been hit.”
Man in audience: “Except my boss.”
Obama: “Well, except your boss. If you need me to call, you let me know.”
