Texas Governor Rick Perry warned a packed DC audience at DC’s Heritage Foundation headquarters Thursday that without swift action, terrorists from groups like the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) will “slip across our un-secure border.” In a speech linking the immigration reform debate to the current crisis in Iraq, Perry claimed there is “a very real possibility” that terrorists have already entered the country by crossing the desert from Mexico.
Perry cited only one anecdote to back up this claim: the recent detention at the border of a Ukrainian national. But she wasn’t a terrorist. She was the wife of a US marine.
Note: IF you don’t have the FACTS, no problem. Just make the shit up!
Well, now. It appears that judgmental, homophobic Red State Southerners enjoy gay porn at a higher percentage than the average of states where same-sex is legal.
Buzzfeed recently partnered with Pornhub’s Insights blog to shed some light on the issues of where the most gay porn is being watched and who is watching it. Combine that with the information in Psychology Today‘s 2011 article, which cited a study concluding that homophobic men are the most aroused by gay male porn, and you’ve got yourself some very curious information about the presumably palatial closets in Dixie.
According to the Insights study, in states that have legalized same-sex marriage, the top three consumers of gay porn are Hawaii, New York, and California. That makes sense.
But-and here’s the kicker-Pornhub discovered that every single state in the South watches gay porn at a higher percentage than the average of states where gay marriage is legal.

New abortion restrictions passed by the Texas Legislature are unconstitutional and will not take effect as scheduled on Tuesday, a federal judge has ruled.
District Judge Lee Yeakel wrote Monday that the regulations violated the rights of abortion doctors to do what they think is best for their patients and would unreasonably restrict a woman’s access to abortion clinics.
So Texas/Perry (See Photo), you don’t like the U.S. Constitution, huh?
Well then do us all a favor, and secede.

Texas first lady Anita Perry told an interviewer on Saturday that she thinks abortion is “a woman’s right.”
Perry’s husband, Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) (See Photo), has helped push through a slew of laws restricting and eroding access to abortion in the state. He is on record deriding the idea that the right to privacy extends to abortion, has signed a pledge urging opposition to abortion “without exception and without compromise,” and explicitly stated that his goal is to make abortion in Texas “a thing of the past.”
(Thankully, Rick Perry will soon be “a thing of the past’)

“I’m proud we are standing up for religious freedom,” Ayatollah Khomieni (see photo) said.
“Freedom of religion doesn’t mean freedom FROM religion.”
It wasn’t the Ayatollah who said we have NO FREEDOM from RELIGION; it was the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry.
Hey, it was an honest mistake.

“While I will always welcome healthy policy debate, I won’t stand for someone mocking the tragic deaths of my fellow Texans and our fellow Americans,” Perry wrote Friday in a letter to the newspaper. “Additionally, publishing this on the very day our state and nation paused to honor and mourn those who died only compounds the pain and suffering of the many Texans who lost family and friends in this disaster. The Bee owes the community of West, Texas an immediate apology for your detestable attempt at satire.””
Stuart Leavenworth, the editorial page editor of The Sacramento Bee, said the cartoon illustrated Perry’s “disregard for worker safety, and his attempts to market Texas as a place where industries can thrive with few regulations.”

Texas Gov. Rick Perry said “ABSOLUTELY” he would consider another presidential run. Speaking from the Republican convention in Tampa, Fla., the Republican governor did not hesitate when Chuck ‘the Greek drawf’ Todd, host of Daily Rundown, asked him if he would ever consider doing so again.
“Oh absolutely. There’s a long time until 2016 and a lot of good things can happen,” he said.

“Three and a half years, nearly 100 rounds of golf. Barack Obama has exploded the debt in this country. He has passed a stimulus program that grew government and not the economy. He socialized health care and he armed Mexican drug cartels.
