Senator John McCain (R-AZ) – ‘GOP Moron of the Day’

Vi: Raw Story

Old man yells at cloud

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said on Monday that he “felt a little lonely from time to time” because most of his colleagues did not want to use U.S. military force against President Bashar al-Assad’s forces in Syria.

BREAKING NEWS – Poll: Majority Of Americans Approve Of Sending Congress To Syria

1

As President Obama continues to push for a plan of limited military intervention in Syria, a new poll of Americans has found that though the nation remains wary over the prospect of becoming involved in another Middle Eastern war, the vast majority of U.S. citizens strongly approve of sending Congress to Syria.

The New York Times/CBS News poll showed that MORE than 90 PERCENT of the public is convinced that putting all 535 representatives of the United States Congress on the ground in Syria—including Senate pro tempore Patrick Leahy, House Speaker John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and, in fact, all current members of the House and Senate—is the best course of action at this time.

Sandy Rios – ‘Xristian Xrazy of the Day’

1

A Christian radio host warned on Monday that a strike on Syria could be doomed to fail because of a “homosexual takeover” of the U.S. military.

The American Family Association’s Sandy Rios told her listeners that she opposed an attack on Syria because it the “nature” of Secretary of State John Kerry to LIE about Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons.

“There’s a second reason and that is military readiness,” she continued. “When I looked at those battleships (SEE PHOTO) going into the Mediterranean, supposedly getting ready for battle in Syria, I couldn’t help think about all the stories I’ve read about how women now are in the ranks of the Navy, getting pregnant at exponential numbers.”

Personal Thought:

Perhaps Ms Rios would be in favor of ‘shipboard’ abortion on request.

Naw, probably not.

BREAKING NEWS – Syria Conflict Intensifies As Bears Enter War

1

Via: ‘America’s Finest News Source’

DAMASCUS—Syria’s ongoing civil war entered a new and dangerous phase today as tens of thousands of bloodthirsty bears reportedly descended on the strife-torn country, charging from city to city on a murderous rampage.

Terrified witnesses confirmed that scores of semi-conscious residents have been dragged from their homes by their necks, torn limb from limb, and had their innards feasted upon by hordes of vicious bears, which appeared to target individuals regardless of whether they supported President Bashar al-Assad or the insurgent opposition.

We thought the violence couldn’t possibly get any worse, and then all of a sudden the streets were crawling with ferocious, roaring bears, indiscriminately thrashing everything in sight,” said Syrian rebel commander Salim Idris, wearing an eyepatch from a fresh claw wound he sustained earlier in the day. “I directed my fighters to shoot them on sight, but each bear takes so many bullets to subdue, and when one finally goes down three more fill in to take its place.”

“I don’t know what side the bears are on, but at this point it might not even matter,” he continued. “They’re everywhere and they’re extremely angry.”

Assad’s Syria – image gallery

1

Via: boston.com

Horrific images were taken this week of an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria. Rows of bodies, including many children, fill rooms and streets in the eastern suburbs of Damascus, and Syrian activists are reporting hundreds of people killed. The Syrian government denies the use of chemical weapons, and an investigation continues. The civil war persists as forces continued fighting and droves fled the country. (WARNING: Images are graphic – yeah, no shit!) ( 25 photos total)

McCain gets ‘photobombed’!

1

Via: Yahoo

U.S. Senator John McCain was photographed during a trip to Syria with a man implicated in the KIDNAPPING by Syrian rebels of 11 Lebanese Shi’ite pilgrims a year ago, a Lebanese newspaper said on Thursday.

~

McCain, a Republican, has been an outspoken advocate for U.S. military aid to the rebels fighting President Bashar al-Assad and made a short, highly publicised trip to meet rebel commanders in Syria three days ago.

He has insisted that the United States could locate the “right people” to help among rebel ranks infiltrated with radicalised Islamists.

REMINDER: McCain is the one who picked, Sarah Palin!

~

However, he may have crossed paths with men linked to a group notorious in the region for kidnapping the pilgrims, the Daily Star said.

The paper said that as well as McCain’s photographs with rebel commanders, one image showed the face of Mohammad Nour – identified by two freed hostages as the chief spokesman and photographer for the Northern Storm brigade that kidnapped them.

The image demonstrates the difficulty of identifying who the West might want to deal with and could possibly further inflame the delicate sectarian balance in a conflict that is spilling over Lebanon’s borders.

~

A spokesman for McCain said none of the people he met identified themselves as Nour and it had not been his intention to meet anyone of that name.

“A number of the Syrians who greeted Senator McCain upon his arrival in Syria asked to take pictures with him, and as always, the senator complied. If the individual photographed with Senator McCain is in fact Mohammad Nour, that is regrettable (yeah, you think?),” spokesman Brian Rogers said.

Senator Paul (R-KY): ‘Bomb Everybody Tomorrow’ Is ‘Typical’ Republican Policy

Via: Think Progress

“We shouldn’t be everywhere all the time. We should have a more defensive foreign policy, a less aggressive foreign policy. I think that would go over much better in New England than the typical ‘we need to bomb everybody tomorrow’ policy you hear from some Republicans…there were many Republicans that said let’s stay [in Afghanistan] forever,

there are still some in the Senate who want to for 100 years in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

Senator Ayn Rand Paul (R-KY)

http://thinkprogress.org/security/2012/09/10/819641/rand-paul-gop-bomb-everybody/

personal thought:

If John McCain had been elected president:

1. We’d still have troops in Iraq, and no time table for leaving Afghanistan.

2. We would have bombed Iran; and have been involved, probably on the ground, in Syria.

3. North Korea, don’t even want to think about that.

4. Our deficit would be trillions of dollars higher, because we would of spent the money on weapon systems the ‘Joint Chiefs of Staff’ DO NOT WANT!

~

Note: the Romney ‘defense advisors’ are the SAME neocon ass-holes who got us INTO Iraq.

****

As Senator Paul suggests (R-KY), ‘Keep the U.S. STRONG and SAFE, Re-Elect Obama/Biden!’

‘Politizing’ now refers to Obama saying anything

Via: Wonkette

Blah blah Breitbart who cares, we know, but don’t you fancy this headline?

The poor sucker who had to update Breitbart.com on Memorial Day, and knew he had to slam Obama for speaking on Memorial Day somehow, settled on “Obama Politicizes Memorial Day” after Obama said that there shouldn’t be wars unless “absolutely necessary.”

This is what counts as politicization now: saying the same fucking thing every politician has said on Memorial Day every year since forever. PRO TIP: If you are considering making the argument “Politician politicizes X,” just go stick your head in the unflushed toilet for a few minutes instead. You’ll get more out of it.

Here’s the Reuters write-up that led Breitbart.com to conclude that Obama had “politicized” Memorial Day, the existence of which is more of a “politicization” than anything:

“As commander in chief, I can tell you that sending our troops into harm’s way is the most wrenching decision that I have to make,” Obama said shortly after laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

“I can promise you I will never do so unless it is absolutely necessary and that when we do, we must give our troops a clear mission and the full support of a grateful nation.”

Boo!

Send them into harm’s way and don’t even care about it and do it when it’s not in any way necessary , and then don’t tell the troops what to do and give them zero support of a hateful nation, instead. In other words, Keep America Strong, because that’s the way it’s been done for centuries.
